Origin Story
A shared belief of justice as a fundamental right. Magdalene Chambers was founded in 2019 by Rob Enright and long-term colleague Ruby Haazen. Rob’s brother Marti joined them in 2022.
We are highly motivated to advocate for appropriate resource and development use while protecting our biodiversity, in the traditions of Te Āo Māori and in the context of Te Āo Pakeha.
With educators, environmentalists, advocates and adventurers as parents, Rob, Ruby and Marti were raised with continual learning, justice as a fundamental right of all people and a taste for venturing into the unknown as foundational pillars of their childhoods.
Rob and Ruby have extensive experience in resource management and public law. Marti is their junior and has significant commercial experience in resolving business problems and creating development opportunities.
From this platform of lived experience and strong mutual relationships, Magdalene Chambers aims to serve its clients’ wide-ranging goals and needs.
